Photo spots: hand-picked viewpoints
Not sure where to go? Photo spots is a hand-picked list of over a thousand viewpoints around the world, sorted by distance from you, each with a tip and the time of day it works best.
Free.
Sunreach is coming soon to iPhone and iPad; screenshots are from the iOS Simulator, 26–27 October 2026.

What it does
Each row has the name, the country, when it is best (sunrise, morning, midday, sunset), a one-line tip and the distance. Search by name, country or kind of place. The list shows ten spots at a time and adds more as you scroll.
How it works
The list is curated by hand and grows over time. Opening a spot runs the same terrain-aware plan as any other place.
How to use it
- Tap ☰ (top right) and choose Photo spots.
- Scroll the list, nearest first, or search for a name, country or kind.
- Tap a spot to open its plan, then check the day and the light.

Tips
- The tip says why the light matters there, for example light reaching a gorge only around midday.
Good to know
- The list has 1,036 places. Coordinates come from Wikidata; tips and best light are written by hand and still being checked.
